Heidi Klum revealed that it took her nearly half a day to transform into the mythical creature Medusa at her legendary 2025 Halloween party.
The supermodel and her husband, Tom Kaulitz, who appeared as the warrior turned to stone by Klum, spent an astonishing 10 hours playing the character, telling E! that they started preparing for the event “at noon.” Friday news.
“Everything is hand-painted,” she told the media about the elaborate costumes. “We had about 15 people working on this, and I think they did a great job.”
Klum confessed that the wild costume, which included green snake eyes, a snake tail tongue, sharp fangs and a snake mechanically wriggling on her head, had been in her mind long before the horrifying reveal.
“I’ve been thinking about Medusa for quite some time. I’ve obviously seen a lot of Medusa over the years, so I thought, ‘I’m going to try Medusa myself someday,'” the 52-year-old said.
She added, “I really wanted to create something like a moving snake, a super ugly, super scary face, really ugly teeth, and a really long rattlesnake.”
Kaulitz, 36, revealed that the couple sometimes has a hard time figuring out how to coordinate their outfits each year. Past appearances have included the same ET alien costumes, the Worm and the Fisherman, and the animated demons Shrek and Fiona.
“We always have to come up with something to match,” he said of the recurring iconic couple’s outfits.
The model took to social media in the hours leading up to the big reveal, showing off her incredible look progress straight from her MUA chair.
Klum previously promised that the wild costume would be very ugly.
“I always try to do something different, so it’s going to get very ugly,” she told People last week.
In August, Crumb told Jimmy Fallon during an appearance on “The Tonight Show” that the costume was already in the works.
“I’m already working hard,” she told the comedian. “It’s been months now.”
The former Victoria’s Secret model added that the costume would be “super scary” and “super ugly.”
