Erin Napier is looking forward to fall just like the rest of us.

Pottery Barn Faux Pumpkin and Gourd Set of 5

When it comes to fall decorating, Napier loves decorating with pumpkins to accent her home, but it’s not the run-of-the-mill option you might be thinking of. “We love greens and peaches and bumpy, fairy-tale things,” she says. “They’ll be hanging around our front door until Thanksgiving.”
This set of five pumpkins and gourds from Pottery Barn straddles the line between classic and whimsical (they’re man-made, so you don’t have to worry about them fading).
Birch Lane Elsie 10 Inch Lamp Shade
wayfair
As for her favorite home decor trend this season, Napier “loves upholstered drum shades,” and recently hired a local seamstress to create “beautiful pleated Mughal floral shades with little striped ruffled skirts.” If you’re not into going the custom route, add some fall color to your space with Wayfair’s pleated options.

“There are two cozy, well-worn armchairs in the storage room next to the kitchen,” Napier says of her favorite corner of the home. “One is blue and white plaid, and the other is dark gold velvet. There’s always a fire burning in that room on cold days, and it’s the center of gravity of the house. We all end up there.”
It’s hard to recreate the comfort of the popular armchair, but you can at least copy the look of this golden velvet piece, which brought “so much elegance and warmth” to one shopper’s living room.
Loloi Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines Area Rug
Amazon
Looking for a low-lift way to make your space feel fresh for fall? Napier says a new rug “does the trick.” This option by Loloi was created in collaboration with fellow HGTV star Joanna Gaines and has a gorgeous neutral pattern that looks great at home in any season.
Village Candle Hot Cider Scented Candle
Amazon
Napier also recommends candles to easily refresh a room, explaining, “I always love gourmet scents during the colder months.” According to one reviewer, this mulled cider on Amazon is “perfect for creating a cozy atmosphere on crisp fall days” and has a burn time of up to 170 hours.
Amazon Essentials V-Neck Sweater
Amazon
“I’m forever looking for a capsule wardrobe that doesn’t make a statement,” Napier says of her fall clothing lineup. One of her favorites? Navy and ivory cotton sweater. Like this V-neck option with over 2,700 5-star ratings on Amazon.
She added, “I’m at the age where I like clothes that look like seasonal uniforms. Maybe my thoughts are confused by raising children and working, so my clothes aren’t like that.”

Cezane
Another fall-friendly sweater that Napier keeps on hand is Cezanne’s Leontine jumper. “It’s a striped cotton sweater that’s perfect for fall in the Deep South,” she explains. “It’s not heavy or bulky. It’s a little cropped so it feels put together.”
And if you’re someone who enjoys the nice vibes of the past, Napier recommends a thin cotton ribbed turtleneck under your overalls. “It feels like 1997 in the best sense of the word.”
Rothy’s Double Bit Driver Loafers
Rossy’s
“I always wear colorful Rothy loafers,” Napier says of her favorite shoes to stretch her legs before a long day. “Everyone who knows me thinks I work for them because I can’t shut up about how much I love them. I also love my colorful Merry People bobby boots at work. These two brands, I’m going to buy them in every color!”
Hollister faux fur lined faux shearling jacket
Hollister
While it’s not exactly a trend, Napier can’t wait to wear Almost Famous’ exact replica of Penny Lane’s iconic coat. “This is by no means a capsule piece. It’s a statement,” she says.
Join the HGTV star and add some star power to your everyday wardrobe with a similar faux fur-lined coat from Hollister. One shopper said: “It keeps me even warmer on cold days.”
Lee Legend 23 Inch Capri Jean
Amazon
How does Napier describe her ideal fall outfit? “A loose, soft sweater, slightly oversized straight jeans that stretch to show a little of the ankle, lug-soled loafers, and Randolph P3 sunglasses (because it’s still summery here),” she says.
