Nicole Kidman is helping her daughters overcome the pain of their “broken family”.
Kidman has reportedly been “getting her head together” since her split from Keith Urban, but a source told Us Weekly Friday that “the hardest part is navigating her relationship with her children.”
“What Nicole wanted was for the family to break up,” the source said, adding that the 58-year-old has raised Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, to “be strong”.
A source said Kidman is “focused on building new traditions with her daughters and keeping her home life as stable and loving as possible.”
The Big Little Lies star reportedly remains “very busy” as work helps her “move forward.”
“She’s not necessarily trying to find her new normal through all of this, because they’ve been quietly separating for a while,” the source explained. “The next chapter feels more like a transition than a shock.”
Kidman’s representatives have not yet responded to Page Six’s request for comment.
Days after her split from Urban made headlines last month, Kidman stepped out with her daughters at Paris Fashion Week.
The trio posed for photos at Chanel’s Spring 2026 show, with Kidman sporting fresh parted bangs.
Earlier this month, a source told Page Six that she was “sad but moving forward” after filing for divorce from the Emmy Award-winning singer, 57.
“She…makes sure her kids are taken care of,” the source confirmed, adding that Kidman is trying to be the teens’ “primary resident parent.”
We hear that the “Practical Magic” star “didn’t want to separate and was trying to salvage things.”
In the months leading up to their breakup, Urban seemed to hint at marital problems.
The country music star complained of being “lonely and miserable” on his competition series “The Road,” which was filmed before their separation.
During the premiere, he also reflected on the song “Straight Line” from his latest album, High, which he said is about wanting to “get out of that soul-sucking, soul-sucking routine.”
Urban elaborated, “Probably relationships, work, creativity, myself…whatever it is!!”
Speculation remains unconfirmed as rumors swirl that Urban was romantically involved with much younger guitarist Maggie Boe.
