Derek Hough spoke out on the side about what happened on his show Celebrity Wheel of Fortune, two days after host Ryan Seacrest claimed that a professional dancer climbed onto the show’s famous wheel.
“By the way, this is 1000% not true,” Hough, 40, wrote on her Instagram Story on Wednesday, October 22, beneath a screenshot of Seacrest’s claims.

Seacrest, 50, claimed that Hough stepped behind the wheel when he appeared on the Sept. 26 episode of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune with Dancing with the Stars personalities Jenna Johnson Chmerkovskiy and Bruno Tonioli.
“During the commercial break,[Huff]would jump onto the center of the wheel like the top of a cake ornament and let Bruno spin it,” the show host said of Huff’s behavior on set in a recent interview with USA Today.
“We said, ‘Please don’t do that,'” Seacrest added. “Then it would break, but you only have one wheel. If that breaks, you’re in big trouble.”
In his response, Hough wrote, “I don’t mean to disrespect amazing sets that can be ‘spinned like cake ornaments’ (lol).”
The Emmy Award-winning choreographer won this episode, earning $63,350 for Feeding America. To celebrate the victory, Hough jumped onto the podium, but avoided damage to the set.
