Jelly Roll is still haunted after cheating on his wife, Bunny Zoe.
The “Wild Ones” artist opened up about his affair on Tuesday’s episode of the “Human School” podcast.
“I don’t talk about it publicly at all, but one of the worst moments of my adult life was when I had an affair with my wife,” he admitted.
Jelly Rolle, whose real name is Jason Bradley Deford, said he has worked hard to “fix their relationship.”
“The restoration was special and we came out stronger than ever,” he said.
The rapper’s transgressions occurred while he was spending time with people who were a negative influence.
“I was dating a lot of people who were cheating on their wives,” he said. “When I was doing cocaine, I was hanging around a lot of people who were doing cocaine. When I was drinking a lot, I was hanging around a lot of people who were drinking a lot.”
Jerry, who is now sober from hard drugs, explained that he surrounds himself with “s-ty” people because he is proud of having “long-term friendships.”
“I was proud of the friendships we had over the years just because we had numbers on them,” he said. “They’re terrible people, but I’m proud to say that he was with me for 12 years.”
Now, the Grammy-nominated singer surrounds herself with people who inspire her.
“I wanted to be friends with the people I wanted to be,” he said.
Jerry, 40, and Bunny, 45, met in 2015 and married a year later. They separated in 2018 due to Jerry’s affair, and the two found themselves in a difficult situation. However, they rekindled their love and reunited later that year.
Wanting to celebrate their eternal love, they renewed their vows in 2023.
Although the host of the Dumb Blonde podcast has barely touched on Jerry’s infidelity, she did address their breakup in a TikTok post.
“Who would have thought that in 2018 we would break up, I would move back to Las Vegas and you would come to take me back? We are going to go on this wild journey called life,” Bunny wrote in a February 2023 TikTok post.
“We finally committed to each other and fulfilled everything we promised each other on the first night of 2016,” she continued. “Our castle in the sand had to crumble in order to be rebuilt on solid ground. Oh, that’s really gross.”
Jerry has two children from a previous relationship.
