Kris Jenner has revealed the main reason she decided to put her family’s iconic Los Angeles home up for sale.
In the Season 7 premiere of Hulu’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch, 69, and her daughters look back at the Los Angeles home that was the backdrop for many memorable moments on the original reality series Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
The scene begins with Kendall Jenner, 29, riding a horse to her ex’s home to meet her sister Khloe Kardashian, 41, and her mother. She then revealed her motivations for the sale in a candid statement, after Chris said it was time to “move on” and “let go” of the property.
“Cash. I mean, is that a question?” she said during the Oct. 23 premiere.

Khloe said it was “really bittersweet” to be in the house during her visit, as it’s also where she got engaged to ex-husband Lamar Odom and announced her pregnancy with ex Tristan Thompson, her daughter True.
She added: “That black and white floor will, dare I say it, remain iconic forever.”
Kendall, whose room has become a closet, looks back on her time in the house and brings up milestones she believes happened there.
“I lost my virginity in that room,” she says, before Chloe jumps in and corrects her that it was actually at the boy’s house. Kendall added that she has no problem speaking up about the topic, even though her mother was there.
“We’re fifth and sixth children,” she said, referring to herself and her 28-year-old sister Kylie. “(Chris) just doesn’t have the energy for us anymore.”

Later in the scene, Chris says he would like to host another gathering at his house. “I think it would be wonderful to have a last supper.”
Kendall and Khloe are very interested in the idea, but Khloe complains that it’s difficult to coordinate with the whole family because “no one does it AF” and everyone is too busy to see each other.
“I’m married, I have a boyfriend, I have a shoot tomorrow, I’m in another country…It’s very uncomfortable,” she says.

Chris first listed the 8,860-square-foot property in February 2025 for $13.5 million, but it appears the home is still on the market, according to property records. Located in Los Angeles’ Hidden Hills neighborhood, it features 6 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms.
According to the New York Times, she reportedly bought the house for $4 million in 2010 and spent millions renovating it over the years, according to property records.

In April 2025, Kylie returned to her home to “say goodbye” to Kendall, giving her Instagram followers a nostalgic tour of the property.
“I’m saying goodbye to my adult bathroom,” Kylie said while photographing a black bathroom. “I’m selling the house.”
After sharing a snapshot of the mansion’s famous grand staircase, she said she had “so many beautiful memories” of growing up in the house.
