Victoria Beckham isn’t backing down.
The former Spice Girls member appeared to address Rebecca Luce’s resurfaced claims that she had an affair with David Beckham on Wednesday’s episode of Call Her Daddy.
Host Alex Cooper bravely asked her how the couple dealt with “speculation about their marriage throughout their careers.”
“You know we’ve had a lot thrown at us? We recently celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary, so we were talking about it,” Victoria, 51, unwaveringly told Cooper.
“By the way, people said it wouldn’t work…it would take 26 years!” she repeated.
“We’ve had a lot thrown at us, but we’ve always stuck together and just weathered the storm.”
The fashion designer soon started talking about her eating disorder, which she recalled being so private that even David didn’t know.
During her meeting with Cooper, Victoria also praised her “close-knit” family relationship, despite her ongoing feud with her eldest son Brookley Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz.
Back in 2004, Ruth claimed that David had an affair with her for four months after he invited her to a hotel room while his wife, whom he had married five years earlier, was out of town.
The former professional athlete, who has always denied the allegations, addressed the controversy in the 2023 Netflix docuseries Beckham, saying it was “incredibly painful” to see Victoria suffer over the rumors.
In the same documentary, Victoria revealed that while she stood by her husband, she was “angry” with him and felt the “unhappiest” she had ever been when the “nightmarish” accusations hit the headlines.
“It was the most difficult time because it felt like the world was against us. … To be completely honest, we were against each other,” the former Spice Girls member admitted, calling the situation a “circus.”
After the documentary ended, Ruth stood by her claims in an interview with 60 Minutes Australia, insisting she “never exaggerated” and “never lied about anything”, even though Ruth said otherwise.
The athlete’s former assistant called himself “brave” for standing up to “the most powerful, most powerful couple in the media who have all the money in the world for the best PR and the best lawyers.”
She added: “All I had on my side was the truth.”
The couple have been married since 1999 and have four children: sons Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz, and daughter Harper.
