In a recent interview with the Guardian, the actress confirmed that she is married to fellow actor Alexander Dreymon, her partner of six years and the father of her son Arlo, calling him simply “husband.”
The two first met while filming the survival thriller Horizon Line, and have kept their relationship largely hidden from the public eye ever since.

He is best known for his role as Uhtred in The Last Kingdom.
Dreymon is best known for playing Uhtred of Bebbanburg, the main character in the historical action drama The Last Kingdom. The show ran for five seasons and ended in 2022 with the Netflix movie Seven Kings Must Die. The series, based on Bernard Cornwell’s Saxon Stories novels, has gained a devoted global following thanks to Dreymon’s character.
In a 2023 interview with Vogue, Dreymon reflected on Uhtred’s enduring appeal: “Especially when he was younger, it was important to show that mischievous side. He’s like the kid at the back of the class with a slingshot in his pocket.”
He also made his directorial debut in the final season of the series.

Williams and Dreymon met on the set of Horizon Lines in 2019 and began dating soon after. In 2021, they quietly welcomed their son Arlo. This news was not made public until several months later.
In April 2022, a source explained to People magazine, “Both are private individuals and have made the decision to keep this happy news to their small circle of family and friends.”
The two quietly got engaged and had an even quieter wedding ceremony.
The two announced their engagement in December 2022 at the Los Angeles premiere of M3GAN, with Dreymon calling Williams his “gorgeous fiancée” on Instagram.
By June 2025, Williams casually acknowledged the marriage, calling Dreymon “husband” in an interview with the Guardian. “If it wasn’t for the nanny I have, I would be in a puddle on the ground. That’s why my husband is filming in London and I’m here,” Williams said. “None of this would have been possible without her and we are so grateful.”

Born in Germany, Dreymon spent his childhood moving around the country, learning German, French, and English. “I moved around a lot, especially when I was a kid,” Dreymon told Vogue. “When you live in different places, you don’t really feel allegiance to a particular country. I feel equally German, French, and American. I find it very limiting to narrow myself down to one thing.”
He studied theater.
Dreymon studied acting at the Drama Center in London, but spent years auditioning before landing major roles. “After I graduated from drama school, I didn’t work for a long time,” he said in a backstage interview. “It took me almost six or seven years to actually start making a living from my work. I think that’s the most difficult period. I think people who love what they do, which I think is important, are going to be hard workers. They’re going to keep their instruments alive. They’re going to work on their craft. They’re going to do their homework. And when the opportunity comes, they’re going to be ready. The hardest thing is having the grit to buckle down and always keep moving forward.” ”
Before “The Last Kingdom,” he appeared in “American Horror Story,” “Christopher and His Friends,” and the war film “Resistance.”
He does his own stunts.
While portraying a warrior king may sound like pure fantasy, Dreymon brought real-life skills to the role. He studied Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and performed many of his fight scenes throughout the five seasons of The Last Kingdom. In an interview with Muscle & Fitness magazine, he said, “When I’m not filming, I do at least an hour of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and then I do 20 to 30 minutes of weightlifting. On set, I do a lot of horseback riding and sword fighting. That’s what keeps me in shape.”
He became a father for the first time and describes fatherhood as “the best thing ever.”
Since becoming a parent in 2021, Dreymon has been intentional about making time for his family. “It’s the best thing ever. It’s a great time to take a break and start fresh,” he told Vogue in 2023. “I loved being with my son and not having to worry about what’s next.”
He and Williams spoke candidly about how raising children changed their lives, especially as working actors. “I feel a huge responsibility to keep the bad guys out,” Williams told the Guardian.
Williams said she has a “two-week limit” rule when she and Dreymon are separated for work.
In an October 2025 interview with Andrew Rannells for Interview, Williams revealed that he has a simple rule for staying connected to Draymon, even during his busy filming schedule.
“Over the past year, we’ve been going back and forth a lot to work and see each other. The limit is two weeks,” Williams said.
“I think it’s called the Julia Roberts rule. That’s the rule she and (husband) Danny Moder have,” Runnels said.
Williams replied, “Well, they look sexy and happy, so I’m very interested.”
She added, “After two weeks, it’s just too much to catch up on, so either they come to Atlanta or I go home.”
