Actors Jake Foy and Nicholas La Travers are officially a newlywed couple.
Ride and Sideline: QB and Me star Foy, 34, married producer La Travers, 27, on September 27 in La Travers’ hometown of Montreal. The church ceremony and royal succession-inspired reception held at Le Bateau Mouche in Montreal’s Old Port exuded coastal elegance, but certainly without the family drama.
“While we are not imaginary billionaires, we have had guests come from as far away as France and California,” the couple wrote in PEOPLE. “So we wanted to give them a luxurious weekend experience.”

Approximately 100 guests attended and enjoyed a five-course meal and open bar along the St. Lawrence River.
“It was completely cinematic and unforgettable,” the couple added.
Fashion-forward both day and night, the wedding website encouraged attendees to “treat yourself and wear vintage clothing that your mom would consider ‘too much’.” A collage mood board inspired the outfit and gave me some inspiration.

The ceremony was held at St. Andrew and St. Paul Church.
“Church was important to us,” the grooms say. “We wanted to honor the tradition of weddings in sacred spaces, and we are deeply grateful to be married in the House of Faith, located in the historic St. Andrews and St. Paul Church, which has also been used as a film set dozens of times.”
Their close friend Jacob McInnis gave an emotional performance of Lauren Daigle’s “Thank God I Do” and Stephen Schwartz’s “When You Believe” for the procession while signing the register.
“It is safe to say there was not a dry eye in the church,” they added.

The reception was full of late-summer nautical glamor with “timeless” Hollywood details.
“When we found our reception venue by the river, we immediately fell in love with the marquee lights and sunset atmosphere,” the couple explain.
Celebrating with the groom were his Foy’s Ride co-stars Bo Milchev, Tierra Skovby, Sara Garcia, and Tyler Jacob Moore. (In addition to Chicken Sisters, Foy has also appeared in several Hallmark Channel movies. She is also known for her roles in Designated Survivor, Tubi’s Sidelined: The QB and Me, and Lifetime’s Eat, Pray, Lie.)

The couple gently nodded at the beginning of a day celebrating their love. The two first met at Table 11 at Toronto’s Terroni Adelaide, where Foy was a waiter at La Traverse. Before Mr. La Travers left the restaurant, Mr. Foy slapped him and handed him a crumpled receipt that Mr. La Travers had “dropped.”
Of course, the receipt had Foy’s name and number on it. In keeping with Foy’s “boldness,” La Travers brought him a rose on their first date, which became the emblem of the wedding.

La Traverse wore a black velvet bow tie by Italian designer Mani del Sud, adorned with a metal rose in homage to the gesture. Meanwhile, Foy wore Jacquemus’ signature yellow aviator sunglasses.
Celebrity stylist Kristin Wilson put together the groom’s ensemble, including a Ralph Lauren coattail for Foy, a Banana Republic double-breasted jacket for La Traverse, and a Boss and Banana Republic dinner jacket with vintage cufflinks and shirt studs. Their shoes were GH Bass & Boss patent loafers.

The festival isn’t over yet. The couple recently returned from a minimoon at The Shelbourne by Proper in Miami and are planning a European honeymoon in 2026.
“We are excited to continue this journey and bond as husbands and wives,” they tell PEOPLE. “We are also proud to set a precedent for our efforts within our community.”
“It is exhilarating to achieve this milestone side by side,” they added.
