Cardi B is opening up about the benefits of using formula as she prepares to welcome her fourth baby.
The 33-year-old Grammy Award winner has joined The B is for Bobbie, an organic infant formula company, as chief trust officer, and through his campaign “The B is for Bobbie,” he is increasing confidence in nutritional choices, raising awareness about the quality of infant formula, and advocating for parental rights in the United States.
“Breastfeeding takes a lot of time, and some women have to go straight to work to support their families and care for their children,” Bobbi’s rep told PEOPLE during an X Spaces livestream on Thursday, Oct. 16.

“They can’t spend their time just sitting around,” she continued. “It literally takes an entire day to express breast milk. Pumping is not something that can be done easily. Some women have to go to work. Others have no choice but to rely on a prescription.”
Cardi announced on September 17 that she is pregnant with her fourth child with NFL player boyfriend Stefon Diggs. The “Am I Drama?” rapper is also mom to Kulture Kiari Cephas, 7, son Wave Set Cephas, 4, and daughter Blossom with estranged husband Offset.
Speaking about his partnership with Bobby, the Grammy winner paid tribute to Brando, who is “fighting in the White House every other week.”
“In addition to that, Bobbie is always fighting to improve care for Black and brown women,” said the soon-to-be mother of four.
Bobbi is the first baby brand Cardi has ever partnered with. In an interview with Vogue magazine published on Wednesday, October 15, she talked about how she struggled with breastfeeding in the past, and how it took her two hours to produce two ounces of breast milk.
“I almost felt like, ‘If I don’t produce as much breast milk as the woman next to me, am I not a woman anymore?'” she told the publication. “I don’t think people realize how frustrating that is.”
She added that mothers should focus on making sure their baby gets the right nutrients instead of worrying about where the nutrients come from.

“You’re not a bad mother for giving your baby formula. You know what’s wrong? Not giving your child formula,” she said.
