Britney Spears has once again accused ex-husband Kevin Federline of “profiting off of her” in a new revelation.
A rep for the Princess of Pop told Page Six in a statement: “Kevin’s coverage of her book once again allows him and others to profit from her.”
“Unfortunately, this happened after the child support agreement with Kevin ended,” the rep said.
Federline’s memoir, You Thought You Knew, hits shelves next week, but she didn’t receive her final payment from Spears until November 2024, after her son Jaden James, now 19, turned 18. The former lovers are also parents to son Sean Preston, 20.
Spears’ rep said: “All she cares about is her children and their well-being in this sensational endeavor.”
The rep also noted that the singer has already detailed her journey in a memoir, The Woman in Me, which was published in October 2023.
Spears, 43, posted a cryptic message on Instagram that read in part: “Honor your father and mother, but always protect your heart. Only honor them if they honor you divinely!!! If not, you will find a new family 🤷♀️😂😹.”
In an excerpt from Federline’s previously published book, he expresses serious concerns about his ex-wife’s mental, emotional and physical state.
“The truth is, Britney’s situation feels like she’s hurtling toward something irreversible. It’s become impossible to pretend everything is okay,” wrote Britney, 47, a former backup dancer.
“From where I’m sitting, the clock is ticking and it’s getting close to the 11th hour. If this continues, something bad will happen. My biggest fear is that my sons will be left behind.”
Federline, who was married to Spears from October 2004 to July 2007, continued to recall when her children told her they didn’t want to go home because they were scared of their mother.
“Sometimes I’d wake up in the middle of the night and find her standing quietly in the doorway, watching them sleep. ‘Oh, are you awake?’ — with a knife in her hand,” he claimed, adding that she then “turned and walked away without explanation.”
Federline insists he has “never been against Britney” and has only tried to help his sons develop a good relationship with their mother.
“When I seriously think about everything that has happened, it’s hard because my children don’t know the woman I married,” he laments. “And I’ve spent 20 years trying to bridge that gap.”
Following the divorce, Spears was placed under a controversial conservatorship that did not end until November 2021.
Fans fear that the mental, emotional and physical damage sustained during this time may have lasting effects.
As her social media activity becomes increasingly erratic, sources tell Page Six that the Grammy winner is in a vulnerable state, living in squalid conditions and refusing help.
‘Really concerned’ Mr Federline confirmed our report on ‘Entertainment Tonight’ on Tuesday, saying Spears’ ‘unusual behavior’ was worse than what outsiders see online and ’10 times worse than what[he]said in[his]book.’
he confessed. “As a father, I am truly terrified that one day I will wake up and find my sons facing the unimaginable.”
