Over the past year, Hailey and Justin Bieber have regularly given fans glimpses into their life with their 1-year-old son, Jack Bruce Bieber. But there’s one boundary they set that they won’t change anytime soon. It’s about keeping his face hidden.
Hailey spoke to WSJ Magazine about why the couple is so careful about where they take Jack and how they post pictures of him on social media. “Until your child understands that and can have a conversation about it, I have no interest in letting him out in any way,” she said bluntly.
Motherhood has made her more protective of herself. “I love myself so much more now than I did before I had my son,” she said. “You gain this quiet strength and confidence. You can’t say any of the shit you could have said to me before. You’re not going to fuck me up after I push the human out of my body.”
According to the newspaper, Hayley is now spending more time at home with her son and often enjoys swimming with Jack in her downtime. “I feel like time has become so precious,” she said. “When you have children, you understand that.”
The model also addressed how she is approaching Elf Beauty’s $1 billion acquisition of her company, Lord, and the funding she is receiving from it.
“I want to preserve it for my son’s future,” she said. “It’s more money than I’ve ever handled before, so I want to spend it wisely. I want to invest it wisely.”
Hailey spoke briefly about Justin in the interview, saying that despite Justin’s success in beauty and music, that hasn’t stopped people from speculating about their relationship. “But I believe we’re both really finding our voices of who we are, and we’re both really walking in the truth of what we really want to do,” she added.
Justin recently shared a photo of the couple kissing together on vacation. Meanwhile, Hailey posted a new shot of her son earlier this month.
