Mother Monster is back with an unexpected mashup.
Lady Gaga was spotted flying on a plane over the weekend wearing pink satin mile-high heels by Christian Louboutin and a matching sweater and skirt set by the label Matière Fécarre.
A bubblegum pink outfit with exaggerated shoulder pads and a moth-eaten distressed hemline is a style combination that really works when put together. At least it works for boundary-pushers like global superstars.
Last weekend, the “Abracadabra” singer, 39, shared a video of her outfit style for the day on TikTok with the caption, “Category: Ballet Goth.”
“The colors are giving me Joan. The heels are giving me Chromatica. The shoulders are giving me BTW. The sunglasses are giving me Mayhem. The vibe is giving me Countess. I’m crying,” one fan commented, referencing some of the superstar’s fashionable and unique personas.
Accessorizing with a black Hermès Mini Kelly bag, Port Tangier wraparound sunglasses, and a giant engagement ring, Gaga put her own spin on the classic jet-set look, even though she was probably wearing shoes that weren’t TSA-approved.
The signature convex heel design was designed by Christian Louboutin in collaboration with Matthière Fécard and first appeared on the runway during the brand’s fall 2025 debut during Paris Fashion Week. The latest version of Gaga’s alien-inspired shoes was part of the Canadian brand’s spring 2026 collection, “A Rose is a Rose.”
According to WWD, “Christian Louboutin’s fetish shoes were designed to give an edge to an outfit, but the effect backfired and affected several models who tried to cheer the scenery.”
However, Lady Gaga has long since mastered the art of luxury footwear. She’s been wearing unusual designs since her “Just Dance” days, from Alexander McQueen armadillo boots to patent leather thigh-high pleathers.
Her “Mayhem Ball” tour featured several pairs of customized shoes, customized with crystals by Disco Daddy Studio, from everyone from Steve Madden to Stuart Weitzman to Capezio.
Just last month, she brought home the iconic 18-inch pointe shoes that appeared in the “Marry the Night” music video for Haus Lab’s recent ad campaign.
The pop superstar was spotted on set with Emily Blunt, Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep last week, and is believed to have been in Italy to film The Devil Wears Prada 2.
We can only imagine what Miranda Priestly has to say about her on-screen look.
But what if I had to guess? groundbreaking. At least it defies gravity.
