ELLE Women in Hollywood winner Jennifer Aniston attended tonight’s event wearing a black halter neck dress by Ralph Lauren. The actress posed on the red carpet herself, and her boyfriend Jim Curtis is also expected to be in attendance. Aniston spoke to ELLE about Curtis, the most educational projects of her career, and the realities of being a woman in the industry.

Jennifer Aniston brought refined glamour to the red carpet of ELLE’s Women in Hollywood event in Los Angeles. The Morning Show actress wore a sparkly black Ralph Lauren halter gown, accessorizing with rings and a bracelet. Aniston’s boyfriend, Jim Curtis, will also be attending the event with her, but they chose not to pose together on the red carpet to keep the focus on Aniston’s career accomplishments.

“Hypnotism is one of the many things that he does,” she said. “He’s such an extraordinary person and he helps so many people. He’s so special, so ordinary, so kind, and he wants to help people heal and help people overcome trauma and stagnation and find clarity. It’s a wonderful thing to dedicate your life to.”

She also talked about what acting projects taught her during her career, saying, “‘Good Girl’ and ‘Cake.’ Those projects remind me that I’m capable of more than what the industry saw and stereotyped me for. So I was grateful for those jobs, because I didn’t want to be invited to a table like that.” But then those tasks come along and it’s nice to be able to remind yourself and challenge yourself and also show that you’re capable of more than just a great catchphrase. ”

Aniston said, “The best thing about being a woman in Hollywood is that I’m a woman working in Hollywood and I get to continue doing what I love. I’ve worked hard and I love what I do. And being able to create projects that make a difference and include women’s voices is really amazing what we can do now that we’re allowed a seat at the table.” It’s a low point. It was a time when we weren’t allowed to be in the seats, and it seemed like a great thing to be able to be a producer or run a production company. It’s a very male-dominated industry, and there’s still a long way to go, but women are taking action in Hollywood.”
