Zayn Malik has reportedly left his upcoming appearance on “The Tonight Show” to receive treatment from “the world’s number one cardiologist.”
The One Direction alum, who was recently hospitalized, was scheduled to appear on Jimmy Fallon’s late-night show on Tuesday, but was “unable to appear due to medical advice,” a source told People.
“He is still dealing with health issues,” the source added.
A representative for Malik did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The 33-year-old “Pillow Talk” crooner was scheduled to promote his fifth studio album, “Konacol,” on Fallon’s show, but was unexpectedly hospitalized last Friday.
“To all my fans, thank you for your love and support now and in the future. It’s been a long week and I’m still recovering unexpectedly,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories at the time, sharing a photo of himself in a hospital bed.
“I’m sorry I won’t be able to see you all this week, but I wouldn’t be where I am today without you. I’m so grateful for your understanding,” he added.
Malik graciously expressed his gratitude to the nurses, cardiologists and other hospital staff who helped him.
“You are all legends,” he concluded. “Big big love xx z.”
Malik’s condition is currently unknown, as he did not elaborate on the details of his recent hospitalization.
Additionally, the “Night Changes” host was scheduled to appear at the Rough Trade Below store in New York City on Monday.
He is also set to begin his long-awaited tour, which begins in May at the AO Arena in Manchester, England and is scheduled to end in Miami on November 20th.
Malik, who has five-year-old daughter Kai with ex Gigi Hadid, promotes his music and tours through social media.
The hitmaker last participated in the Stairway Tour from November 2024 to March 2025.
While on tour, One Direction bandmate Liam Payne tragically passed away. He took a break from touring, then returned to the stage to pay tribute to his friend.
