Vera Wang, 76, is no stranger to revealing looks.
And she quite possibly debuted her boldest look yet at Thursday night’s Fragrance Foundation Awards.
The fashion designer was seen entering the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center in New York City wearing a bra top and a dangerously low skirt. Of course, everything was designed by Vera Wang herself.
In fact, the skirt practically defied the laws of physics and sat as low on the back as possible without revealing too much.
At the front, a sheer skirt designed with opaque wide-legged pants underneath meets at the navel and is separated by a hip-hugging cutout at the waistband.
Wang added a touch of whimsy with accessories like pastel blue opera-length gloves, sunglasses, and playful pigtails.
The designer also posted a series of images on social media with the caption “ALL GUSSIED UP” before leaving his apartment.
Fans loved it, with some even comparing her to Audrey Hepburn. “You keep getting more and more beautiful!” wrote another.
Wang last appeared on a major red carpet at last month’s Met Gala, where she wowed everyone with an abs-baring look.
At the event, she wore a similarly nude skirt and bra combination and rocked her bleached blonde hair.
Ms. Wang’s 77th birthday is coming up later this month, and we can only imagine what she’ll wear to celebrate the milestone.
