“Shiki” will soon reach its third season.
Tina Fey’s vacation comedy series has been renewed by Netflix for a third season of eight episodes. The streamer’s head of scripted series, Ginny Howe, made the announcement during a conversation with Variety’s Michael Schneider at the Banff World Media Festival.
The show, which premiered in May 2025, is an adaptation of Alan Alda’s 1981 film of the same name. Fey, Will Forte, Steve Carell, Colman Domingo, Kelly Kenny-Silver, Marco Calvani, and Erika Henningsen star as a group of couples who travel together four times a year. Each season consists of eight episodes, with each group of two episodes taking place in a new destination.
Fey created the series with Lang Fisher and Tracy Wigfield. They will serve as executive producers along with Jeff Richmond, Eric Gurian and David Miner, with Alda and Marissa Bregman serving as producers. Julia Lester and Stephen Pasquale have recurring roles, and the first two seasons have included guest appearances by Alda, David Tennant, and Chloe Troast.
“We are thrilled to bring the third season of The Four Seasons to life,” Fey, Fisher and Wigfield said in a joint statement. “Thank you to everyone who watched. Middle-aged people, LFG!”
Tracy Pacosta, Netflix’s vice president of U.S. comedy, added, “It was so much fun to watch the chaotic and beautiful journey of lifelong friends. Tina Fey, Lang Fisher, and Tracy Wigfield all have heart and sharp humor. They have a magical way of blending together characters and making us feel like part of the inner circle. Viewers have fallen in love with the electric chemistry between these characters and this legendary cast, and we’re thrilled to continue the holiday season.”
“The Four Seasons” is produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studios Group. The production company is Little Stranger Co., Ltd.
