Teach ICE agents how to avoid arrest

Pete Davidson returned to “Saturday Night Live” in the cold opening of the Jan. 31 episode, playing Tom Homan, a border czar working with woefully underprepared ICE agents in Minneapolis.

“Many of you may be wondering why the last man, Greg Bovino, was fired,” Davidson said at the beginning of the segment. “I want to stress that it wasn’t because he did a bad job, it wasn’t because he publicly lied about shooting Americans, it wasn’t because he was dressed like a Nazi. That’s because he was filmed doing this and the president didn’t like it. So I’m here now. We need to tighten up. It starts with remembering the purpose of the mission. “Can you tell me why we’re here in Minneapolis? ”

Of course, the recruits didn’t have a clear answer.

Dyvdson, who played Homan, went on to say, “Let’s talk about the use of force. When do you want to use force? … It’s kind of a trick question, because we don’t actually want to use force. Remember, the job is ultimately … to protect America from what.”

The recruit, played by James Austin Johnson, replies, “I might be wrong about this, but what about Don Lemon?”

Ultimately, Homan agreed that it is important to avoid filming people doing illegal activities. “Maybe I should just try not to get filmed!”

The episode was hosted by Alexander Skarsgard and featured musical guest Cardi B. Pete Davidson launched his new Netflix video podcast, The Pete Davidson Show, on Friday with MGK as the first guest.
