Is Taylor Swift hiding a secret message in her latest outfit choice?
The Life of a Showgirls hitmaker, 36, was spotted out and about in New York with her dad Scott on Monday, leaving fans questioning her outfit.
In the photo, the pop star was seen wearing a $325 STAUD blue and white pinstripe midi dress, which she accessorized with a yellow Lady Dior mini bag that retails for $9,750. On her feet, she wore dark carmine Christian Louboutin Herr Roman Patination Calf Leather Block Sandals (retail price $1,195).
However, her color choice has many speculating that the singer may be involved in the upcoming Toy Story 5 movie.
“She wears every color 😭,” one fan noted Thursday, comparing Swift’s outfit side-by-side with the movie’s poster.
Shortly after it was reported that the pop star had uploaded a “Toy Story”-themed countdown clock to his website on Thursday, fans were quick to react.
The clock was active for only 10 minutes before being removed, counting down to May 2nd at 1:00 PM Central Time / 2:00 PM Eastern Time.
The background color of the page bears a striking resemblance to the animated film’s blue-and-white cloud image, leading fans to speculate that the “Opalite” songstress may be preparing to unveil a soundtrack.
“If Taylor releases an original song for Toy Story 5, it might actually break the internet 😭✨,” wrote one X user. “Disney + Taylor is a dream match, and now everyone is watching the countdown even closer.”
It’s also worth noting that the film’s release date coincides with the 20th anniversary of the release of Swift’s debut single, “Tim McGraw,” on June 19th.
A representative for the singer did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
This isn’t the first time Swift has sent a cryptic message regarding her clothing choices.
In February, she was photographed on a date with fiancé Travis Kelce at Chez Margaux in New York. Swift wore five-figure worth of Louis Vuitton for the outing.
The chart-topping “Opalite” is kept warm in the luxury label’s sold-out shearling collar wrap coat, which retails for $6,150 and features a self-tie belt and contrasting monogram lining.
She carried a $4,200 Express PM bag, also trimmed with the brand’s signature monogram print, and completed her monochrome look with high-heeled Christian Louboutin Lou Botta boots ($1,995) and her signature scarlet lipstick.
The total cost of her ensemble came to a whopping $13,000. And 13 is a lucky number for singers.
