Leila Taylor’s “Mormon Housewives” co-stars are expressing support after Leila Taylor came out as bisexual on Monday.
The reality star opened up about her sexuality on Jay Shetty’s podcast “On Purpose,” and admitted that she hadn’t told the other cast members before filming the episode.
“They’re going to discover it for themselves on this podcast,” she explained. “And I know they’re just going to be supportive.”
Miranda McWhirter joined “Virtual Reali-Tea” hosts Evan Real and Danny Murphy on Tuesday to express nothing but love for her co-stars in the studio.
“I cried when she told me,” she said. “I was very happy for her.”
Mr McWhorter said he was initially “surprised” by the news, but said Mr Taylor was “radiant” with “relief (and) confidence” after coming out.
After the clip was removed, Macy Neely posted it to her Instagram Story, gushing about how “proud” she was.
“I love you, Ray!” the 31-year-old exclaimed, while husband Jacob Neely emphasized how “strong” Taylor is.
Jennifer Affleck and Whitney Leavitt both left multiple red heart emojis in the comments section, with the latter writing, “I love you 💕 I’m so happy!”
Affleck, 27, added, “There’s nothing more beautiful than living your truth ❤️ I love you, Ray.”
Mikayla Matthews chimed in: “Thank you for always supporting me ❤️ I’m so proud of you.”
Jesse Draper shared the video to her Story and wrote, “So proud of you @laylaleannetaylor. Love you always.”
Taylor Frankie Paul liked the social media upload.
Taylor explained during Monday’s chat that she “honestly, for a long period of my life, I didn’t really know how to officially deal with[my sexuality],” but that she was “very… proud to be able to come out.”
The Hulu personality clarified that while she didn’t feel “pressure not to” identify as bisexual, she “didn’t have any bisexual role models around me.”
Taylor is currently “talking” to a woman who did not reveal her name during the episode.
However, she gushed, “She was very understanding and let me do it at my own pace, because it’s still foreign and very new to me.[It’s]a level of understanding and just being there for me.”
Taylor split from ex-husband Clayton Wessel in 2023 and went on to date Cameron Jolie and Mason, whose relationship was chronicled on SLOMW.
Mason, also 25, “loved” her ex’s announcement on Monday.
