‘Ransom Canyon’ First Look Revealed, Season 2 Release Date Set

“Ransom Canyon” is officially returning this summer, with Netflix announcing that season 2 will premiere on July 23rd. The eight-episode second season continues the epic Western with newly released first look images and official synopsis.

Set in the Texas Hill Country, the series follows an interconnected family navigating love, heritage, and longstanding conflicts in a close-knit town. According to the official synopsis, Season 2 will take place “Six months after the events of Season 1, rancher Staten Kirkland (Josh Duhamel) struggles to reclaim his inheritance after being ousted as trustee of his family’s Double K Ranch, while musician Quinn O. Grady (Minka Kelly) must decide whether her heart truly lies in the small town she once tried to outrun, or in the fast-paced world of New York City. Are they destined to be lovers or destined to be together?”

The series will star Duhamel and Kelly, as well as a returning ensemble including Lizzy Greene, who will star in Netflix’s new feature-length drama, The Nine-Niners, which follows the U.S. women’s national soccer team’s 1999 World Cup victory. Also starring is Garrett Wareing, who previously starred in The Long Walk and will next appear in Chasing Summer, which premiered at Sundance earlier this year.

Additional cast includes Jack Schumacher, Marianli Tejada, Casey W. Johnson, Patricia Clarkson, Ben Robson, Heidi Engerman, Tatanka Means, Justin Johnson-Cortez, Philip Winchester, Jennifer Enns, Brett Cullen, and Nico Guardado.

Created and executive produced by April Blair, the series will also be executive produced by Duhamel and Kelly, along with Dan Angel, Bradley Gardner and Joe Fazio.
