Noah Kahan on Friday urged fans to use the restroom during his tour stop in Philadelphia after an audience member appeared to smear poop on the floor.
“If you have to poop (sic) on the show, dear God, just go to the bathroom, LOL,” the “Stick Season” crooner wrote on X Saturday.
“I’ve had my pants down just as much as the next 29-year-old, but after you’ve dealt with that, you have to understand that there are venue employees who will give you a 1000-yard stare.”
Kahan, 29, candidly admitted that he soiled himself while performing on stage during a stop in Charlottesville, Virginia.
“But that’s because I’m dedicated to my craft,” he continued.
The hitmaker’s reaction was in response to a viral video of what appears to be pieces of poo falling on the floor at the Citizens Bank Park stop on The Great Divide Tour.
A few people in the audience looked at the scene in disbelief, but others seemed oblivious as they performed along to Kahan’s songs.
“Oh my god,” one person said.
Kahan is not the only celebrity to comment on concertgoers defecating.
In fact, fellow pop star Olivia Rodrigo admitted that she smelled a fan’s diaper while performing on stage.
“I’ve been to certain concerts and certain festivals where people wear diapers to be in the front row of the show,” the “Traitor” songstress said on the “KISS Breakfast” radio show earlier this month.
“It’s a performer’s experience that I smelled and experienced.”
Rodrigo went on to explain that fans have been sitting in one place waiting for her performance “all day.”
But Kahan and Rodrigo’s experiences are very different from those of concertgoers who throw objects at, and sometimes injure, performers on stage.
Bebe Rexha, Kelsea Ballerini, Zach Bryan and Nicki Minaj are among the many singers who have had objects thrown at them by audience members.
