Saturday Night Live UK has announced its next two hosts.
‘Bridgerton’ star Nicola Coughlan and ‘White Lotus’ star Amy Lou Wood will host episodes five and six. Coughlan will join the Foo Fighters as a musical guest on April 25, and Wood will host a performance on May 2 with British singer Meek.
The latest episode of the sketch show was hosted by British comedian Jack Whitehall and featured musical guest R&B artist Jorja Smith. Previous hosts and musical guests include Kasabian’s Riz Ahmed, Wolf Alice’s Jamie Dornan and Wet Legs’ Tina Fey.
After a week-long hiatus, “SNL UK” will return with four episodes per week starting April 25, for a total of eight shows per season. Ratings got off to a strong start with 226,000 viewers watching Sky in the 10pm slot, but by the third episode, hosted by Ahmed, viewership had fallen to 130,950.
SNL UK will feature weekly hosts as well as Hamed Animashaun, Ayoade Bumboy, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Mariano, Annabelle Marlowe, Al Nash, Jack Shepp, Emma Siddy and Paddy Young.
‘SNL UK’ is produced by the UK production team at Universal Television Alternative Studios and Broadway Video at Sky and NOW. Lorne Michaels will serve as executive producer, James Longman will serve as lead producer, Liz Clare will direct, and Darran Jono Johnson will serve as head writer.
‘SNL UK’ will be broadcast live on Sky and streaming service NOW, and will also be available on Peacock in the US the following day
