Natalie Portman’s family is growing. The 44-year-old actress told Harper’s Bazaar that she is pregnant with her third child, her first child, with her partner, French music producer Tanguy d’Estable.
“Tanguy and I are both very excited,” she said. “I’m just so grateful. I know it’s such an honor and a miracle.”
Portman has two children, Aleph, 14, and Amalia, 9, with ex Benjamin Millepied.
Speaking about her feelings during her pregnancy, the actress said, “There’s a feeling of gratitude that you don’t necessarily understand when you’re young. And there’s a calmness and knowing yourself. Who you want to spend your time with, what kind of energy you want around you, and that makes every day experience so beautiful. And I’m cherishing every moment because I know that maybe this is the last.”
She added that she feels great and said this pregnancy is similar to her previous pregnancies. “I have more energy than I expected,” she said, adding that she has been active by swimming and doing gyrotonics to “keep up my strength.”
She also revealed that she doesn’t pay much attention to online comments aimed at pregnant women. “I don’t really look at social media that much,” she said. “I think I’ve probably only done it twice before…I read a lot for the first time, and now I’m like, ‘Oh, I know what to do.’ It’s okay. You figure it out. No matter how hard we try, we’re going to make a lot of mistakes. We’re also going to do a lot of things right without doing any research. If you’re just going to be there and be loving, I feel like that’s the best thing possible.”
