Morgan Wallen is rising, falling, rising, falling.
The country singer has had a number of controversial moments since his rise to fame, including knocking over a piano on stage and throwing a chair off a rooftop.
He has been arrested multiple times over the years.
The Grammy nominee’s career began in 2014 when she appeared on “The Voice.”
Warren released his debut album, “If I Know Me,” four years later, followed by “Dangerous,” “One Thing at a Time,” and “I’m the Problem.”
Musical success aside, Page Six breaks down his most headline-making moments below.
drunk driving arrest
Warren was arrested in 2016 on suspicion of driving under the influence in his home state of Tennessee.
Prosecutors later dropped the misdemeanor charge.
This incident appears to have been deleted.
Arrest for public drunkenness
In May 2020, the songwriter was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct over an incident at Kid Rock’s Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock ‘n’ Roll Steakhouse.
Mr Warren then asked X to “clear the air”.
“Last night I went out downtown with some old friends. We stopped at a few bars and then played horseplay with each other,” the “Whiskey Glasses” hitmaker wrote.
“We did not intend to cause any harm and we would like to say that we are sorry to the staff at the bar and to those affected. We would like to thank the local authority for their professional and courteous work.”
The charges were dropped two months later.
Leaving “Saturday Night Live”
Wallen’s appearance on “Saturday Night Live” in October 2020 was canceled for failing to follow COVID-19 safety guidelines.
Days before Wallen was scheduled to take the stage, footage surfaced of him partying without a mask in Alabama, and Jack White performed in his place.
At the time, Warren told her followers: “While I am not positive about the coronavirus, my actions last weekend were quite short-sighted and clearly affected my long-term goals and dreams.
“I think I have some things to do to grow. I think I’ve lost myself a little bit,” he added. “I’ve been trying to find joy in the wrong places and, I don’t know, it’s diminished my joy. So I’m going to work on that. I’m going to step away from the spotlight a little bit and work on myself.”
Instead, Wallen performed live on “SNL” in December 2020.
N word scandal
Wallen was suspended by his record company in February 2021 for using the N-word in a leaked video.
The “embarrassed” country star issued a statement, writing: “I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur and I want to take it back. There is absolutely no excuse for using this type of language. I sincerely apologize for using it and I promise to get better.”
Warren later admitted that he had used the term to “a specific group of friends,” but released the video the following week after “gathering his thoughts” and “seeking real guidance.”
“I let a lot of people down. I let my son down. I can’t forgive that,” he said, referring to his and ex-K.T. Smith’s child, Indigo. “There’s no reason to discount what I’ve done. It’s important and I know I’m choosing my next steps in the restoration carefully.”
However, he ignored the NAACP, and a $500,000 donation to the Black-led organization reportedly went missing.
Cheating suspicion
Warren and Paige Lorenze made their relationship official on Instagram in February 2022, the same month the couple announced they had broken up.
Page Six heard that the “heartbroken” model “began receiving messages on Instagram from girls saying, ‘I was with him. We slept together,'” and that she “suspected that he was cheating on her with multiple people.”
Lorentze posted a cryptic quote about “karma” after their breakup became public.
Warren did not comment on the affair allegations.
Concert canceled
In April 2023, Wallen canceled a concert in Mississippi after the opening act and minutes before he was scheduled to take the stage.
One of Warren’s 60,000 fans stood up and sued the “Wasted on You” singer.
Warren’s record company denied the performance, saying she was “too drunk” to perform, but Warren maintained that she had lost her voice.
Doctors ordered six weeks of vocal rest, and Warren was cleared to sing again in May of the same year.
chair throwing incident
Warren was arrested in April 2024 on felony charges of reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct after throwing a chair off the roof of Eric Church’s Chief’s bar in Broadway, Tennessee.
Furniture fell near a police officer standing outside the six-story facility.
After being released on $15,000 bail, Warren said in a social media statement that he had “taken responsibility.”
“I am not proud of my actions,” he tweeted at the time. “I have the utmost respect for the police officers who work every day to keep us all safe.”
Warren pled guilty in December 2024 and was sentenced to seven days in a DUI education center, two years of probation, and ordered to pay a $359 fine.
Contempt on “SNL”
Wallen appeared as a musical guest on a March 2025 episode of “SNL” and made headlines for leaving the stage while the credits were rolling and skipping the afterparty.
Sources told Page Six at the time that Wallen was “not very friendly” to the crew and refused to appear in the sketch, so Joe Jonas filled in in his place.
Shortly after fleeing the shooting scene, Warren posted a photo of his private plane and wrote, “Take me to God’s country.”
He continued to sell goods using that quote.
meltdown on stage
Warren appeared to have a piano malfunction during a performance in Colorado in May 2026, knocking it over and breaking it.
The musician poked fun at the incident with a tongue-in-cheek TikTok video about how he was “distraught” at the piano.
A few days later, when Warren abruptly canceled her show, she cleared up “nonsense” rumors that the drama had something to do with an onstage gaffe and blamed it on the weather.
phone throwing incident
Warren was performing at Pittsburgh’s Acresure Stadium in May 2026 when he noticed a security guard recording the show on his cell phone.
Midway through the song, he doubled over, ripped the device out of her hands and threw it across the stage.
Representatives for Warren have not yet responded to Page Six’s request for comment.
