Season 8 of “Love Island USA” achieved the most-watched debut of an original season on television in Peacock history.
The season premiered on June 2 and has released three episodes so far, with a total viewing time of 824 million minutes, according to first-party data from NBCUniversal. That’s a 74% increase compared to the first three-day total of Season 7, which aired in 2025 and itself had big viewership for Peacock, and exceeds the three-day viewership of every series Peacock has ever debuted.
Based on the standard viewership metrics used by Netflix and other platforms, Season 8 of “Love Island USA” has been viewed approximately 3.7 million times. Calculated by dividing 824 million total minutes by 224 minutes of currently available content.
Interestingly, and perhaps due to the subscription-viewing nature of “Love Island USA,” NBCUniversal is touting that 23% of Season 8’s viewers came from mobile phones and tablets, the highest mobile usage ever during the Peacock original series’ launch period. Unsurprisingly, the show became a huge hit on social media, with over 43 million video views on NBCUniversal’s social channels on June 2nd alone.
“Love Island USA” is hosted by Ariana Madix and narrated by Ian Stirling. The series is produced by ITV America in association with Lifted Entertainment and WPP Media’s Motion Entertainment and distributed by ITV Studios. Executive producers include David George, Adam Sher, Jordana Hochman, Bernie Schaefer, Ben Thursby-Palmer, James Barker, Blake Garrett, Courtney Rosenthal, Sophie Brown, Richard Cowles, Mike Spencer, Tom Gould, Ali Hill, and Martin Oxley.
