Louis Pullman is set to star opposite Julia Garner in the upcoming Apple TV series “Guilty Creatures,” Variety reports.
The show, starring and executive produced by Garner, was announced on July 6th. The show is an adaptation of Mikita Brotman’s true crime book “Guilty Creatures: Sex, God, and Murder in Tallahassee, Florida.”
The show’s logline says the series will “explore the psychology of a tempestuous romance and subsequent murderous act between two adulterous but God-fearing young lovers, unraveling their complex lives and the emotional toll of living as murderers for 18 years.”
This is Pullman’s second “creature”-based title in recent years. He just starred in the Netflix original film Remarkably Bright Creatures, which is based on Shelby Van Pelt’s book of the same name. Pullman is also known for his work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, starring as the Sentry in Thunderbolts. He will reenact the heist in Avengers: Doomsday. His other credits include the Apple series “Lessons in Chemistry,” Amazon’s “Outer Range,” and the films “Top Gun: Maverick” and “Salem’s Lot.” Next year, he will appear in Spaceballs: The New One alongside his father, Bill Pullman.
Pullman is repped by Anonymous Content, CAA, and ID.
ITV Studios partner Tomorrow Studios developed the project and brought it to Apple. Craig Gillespie will serve as director and executive producer under his Fortunate Jack Productions. Sarah Delap will serve as the scriptwriter and executive producer. Stuart Zickerman will serve as showrunner and executive producer. In addition to starring, Garner will also serve as executive producer through Alma Margo. Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements and Alyssa Buckner will serve as executive producers for Tomorrow Studios, along with Fortunate Jack & Brotman’s Annie Marter. Fortunate Jack and Alma Margo both have first-look deals with Tomorrow Studios.
