Kathy Griffin made vicious comments about former “The View” co-hosts Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Meghan McCain after appearing on her talk show Friday.
The comedian explained in a YouTube video on Tuesday that while he “loves” the show’s current panelists Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sarah Haines, Ana Navarro, Sonny Hostin and Alyssa Farrah Griffin, he has ill will toward conservatives Hasselbeck and McCain.
“When Hasselbeck was around, I had to put up with her stupidity…or resentful stupidity, which is the funniest thing,” Kathy said.
Hasselbeck, 48, appeared on The View from 2003 to 2013. During a 2010 episode, Hasselbeck and Cassie got into an argument over the comedian’s past jokes about his co-host.
At the time, the “Survivor” alum told Cassie that her jokes were “not true” and “not that funny.”
Cathy called McCain, 41, a “nuisance” in a new video.
“I love targeting her because she takes the bait every time,” Kathy said of McCain, who had a dramatic rise on the talk show from 2017 to 2021.
“And now she’s going to post about how I’m not a feminist,” the “Suddenly Susan” actress continued. “That’s how it works, Meghan. Eventually, you’ll pick it up too.”
Page Six has reached out to representatives for Hasselbeck and McCain for comment.
Later in the video, Kathy admitted that she had previously intended to go after Alissa, 36, for working for President Donald Trump.
“I want you to know, Alyssa, that in my heart I was rooting for you,” Kathy said, explaining that she and Alyssa “didn’t always see eye to eye” during the Trump administration.
But when Kathy learned that Alyssa just had a baby, she realized the conservative commentator was “not being fair anymore.”
“And she was like the nicest person at the table,” Kathy said.
The comedian also admitted that he “has had and always will have a lot of Republican friends – even though I’m a huge lefty.”
When Cassie talked about appearing on “The View,” she said, “They don’t let me do any more live shows,” so Friday’s appearance had to be pre-recorded.
“And they won’t let me be a co-host anymore,” she added. “This is disappointing because I used to love being a co-host.”
Cassie previously sparked a huge backlash in 2017 when she posted a controversial photo of herself holding a Halloween mask with fake blood on it that resembled Donald Trump.
At the time, the host of “The View” publicly condemned Cassie’s actions.
“I thought it was terrible,” former co-host Jedediah Bila said on the show in May 2017. “It wasn’t fun.”
Hostin said she was “offended” by the photo and called it “so vile and gross,” but Goldberg agreed that Kathy was taking things too far.
