Jerry O’Connell admits his wife Rebecca Romijn has a “funky” body odor, and he totally agrees.
“Well, I have to say, my wife Rebecca Romijn rubs crystals in her armpits,” the actor shared on Monday’s episode of the “Thank You Dad, Ego Nwodim” podcast.
“And I’m here to tell you all, that’s not going to work.”
“Underarm crystals don’t work,” O’Connell, 52, continued.
“Now I don’t care about my wife’s behavior. I’m not offended. In fact, I’m like, oh, this is kind of dirty. I like smelling my wife’s body odor.”
“It’s like, oh, she’s alive, we’re alive, we’re alive,” he added. “It’s a bit exciting, a bit funky.”
O’Connell and Romijn, 53, married in 2007, two years after her divorce from “Full House” star John Stamos.
The couple are also parents to 17-year-old twin daughters Dolly O’Connell and Charlie O’Connell.
The “Stand By Me” star has been open about her relationship with Romijn, including during a recent appearance on “Live with Kelly and Mark” when she recalled how her mother suggested she end the marriage.
In a joint interview with his mother, Linda O’Connell, Jerry told how the matriarch told him on the way to the ceremony: “You don’t have to do that.”
“Don’t do that! I’m just saying! If you want, you can… you can go to the airport – no questions asked. We’ll cover it. Don’t worry. Is this okay? She’s a beautiful girl and a very nice person, but are you sure about this?” Jerry recalled his mother saying.
The “Sliders” alum reassured the audience that Linda “loves” Romijn, and she echoed his feelings, saying, “I do.”
As for the model, she recently said that the secret to her and Jerry’s long marriage was to “completely separate the money” and have a “communal pot” for joint living expenses.
“If you’re not working, take a little break, and if you’re working, try a little harder,” she said on SiriusXM’s “Andy Cohen Live” last July. “And we really work as a tag team.”
Additionally, Romijn and Jerry have an agreement with their children that “one of us will always be home” and that “no one else will be raising them.”
