Jennifer Lopez attended the premiere of Office Romance in a vintage Versace dress. The archive look comes from the house’s 2004 haute couture collection. Clever illusion details tied the entire outfit together.
Jennifer Lopez revisited the Versace archives for her latest red carpet appearance.
The singer and actor attended the Los Angeles premiere of Netflix’s new romantic comedy Office Romance wearing a vintage dress from Atelier Versace’s Spring/Summer 2004 Haute Couture collection. The strapless black dress featured a structured bodice with nude illusion panels, a crystal-embellished band across the bust, and intricate lace-like detailing across the torso.
The gown flared out to a voluminous floor-length skirt with a dramatic train, giving the archive look a more theatrical finish.
Lopez styled her look with Cartier jewelry, long, straight hair parted in the middle, smoky eye makeup, and a glossy nude lip.
The dress was sourced from LILY et Cie, a vintage fashion archive based in Los Angeles. Lopez was styled by Rob Zangardi and Mariel Henn, with hair by Justin Marjan and makeup by Ernesto Casillas.
In Office Romance, Lopez stars opposite Brett Goldstein, who co-wrote the film for her. In an interview with Extra, he said, “We wouldn’t have made it. Me and[co-writer]Joe Kelly sent her the script with a letter that said, ‘You’re at the top of our list. That’s one of the lists. If she says no, we’re not going to make this movie. There’s no pressure.'”
This appearance also continued the long history between Lopez and Versace. Her association with the house is most famously associated with the plunging green dress she wore to the 2000 Grammy Awards.
She also reflected on her fashion moments from Versace’s Spring/Summer 2020 runway.
