Jennifer Aniston may have one of the most enviable hair in the world, but she still looks back and drools.
“Think before you bash,” the 57-year-old actress wrote on Instagram Thursday, sharing a series of photos of herself with bangs.
Interestingly, all of her photos were from her on-screen appearances such as “Horrible Bosses,” “Marley & Me,” “Rock Star,” and “Friends.”
Aniston also published a cartoon in the New Yorker of a turtle proclaiming, “It took me a hundred years, but I finally grew my bangs.”
While she may have some issues with her past hairstyles, Aniston has built an empire around her hair in 2021 with the launch of her Lolavee product line.
And the star’s famous friends and fans don’t seem to agree with her take on bangs.
Sandra Bullock commented, “I wore it like crazy ♥️,” and Debi Mazar admitted, “Every time I watch ‘Cleopatra’ (and every time I smoke a J) I go to the bathroom and cut my bangs 😂 When are you going to learn?”
Dax Shepard also chimed in, saying, “Bangs: The Most Dangerous Game.” And Rita Wilson wrote, “She bangs. She bangs.”
Many others said Aniston’s post had the opposite effect they expected and inspired them to cut their own hair.
“Girl, I don’t think you understand what you’re doing… These posts will convince people to get bangs because you always look so nice,” one fan said.
“Jen’s hair has set impossible standards for decades and somehow still continues to win,” said another.
Aniston’s hair colorist Michael Canale detailed the origins of “The Rachel” to Page Six Style in 2019, summing up her consistently great looks over the years.
“While most other celebrities are experimenting with long, short, and boldly different colors, Jennifer has become a style icon because she never goes out of fashion,” Canale told Us at the time.
