“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” has a season 18 premiere date set on FX, FXX, and Hulu.
The hit comedy series returns on August 17th at 9pm ET on two linear channels and streaming services, with the show streaming worldwide on Disney+. Unlike the previous three seasons, season 18 will consist of 10 episodes instead of eight.
Season 18 continues to break the show’s record as the longest-running live-action comedy series in history, a record set in season 15 in 2021.
The official description for the new season reads:
Charlie (Charlie Day), Mac (Rob Mack), Dennis (Glenn Howerton), Dee (Caitlin Olson), and Frank (Danny DeVito) survive collecting an inheritance from a deceased woman, a tent encampment, a vast internal and external divide between the haves and have-nots, endure unemployment due to workplace automation, and a newfound appreciation for neurodivergent behavior. questioning the fabric of society against conspiracy theories, and, of course, the biggest elephant in the room: battling geeks, LARPers, and a particularly grumpy McPoyle clan at the Renaissance Faire, trying to maintain order in his personal life and at Paddy’s, not to mention returning to the community by sponsoring a little league team. Something lawless and insane. ”

The 18th season of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia will be executive produced by series creator Mack, as well as Day, Howerton, Michael Rothenberg, Nicholas Frenkel, David Hornsby, Rob Rossell, Scott Marder, Dave and John Chernin, and Vanessa McGee. FX Productions will produce the series.
