Andy Dick has recalled spending nearly two months in rehab after suffering a near-fatal drug overdose.

“I’ve been[to rehab]again and again and again and again and again. This time I feel different, mainly because I can’t believe I actually died and came back to life,” the comedian told Page Six in an exclusive phone interview on Monday after checking out of a treatment center in Palm Springs, California.

Dick, 60, credited documentarian-turned-friends Adam Carbone and Alexander “Billy John O” Bailey with saving his life on December 9, 2025.

“When I fail, it makes a bad impression on[my family and friends]. They feel bad about it as well. … But as they say, I’m my own worst enemy,” he admitted.

“(Rehab) is over and over and over and over and over again. This time it feels different,” he said in an exclusive phone interview Monday night after checking out of a treatment center in Palm Springs, California. Andy Dick/Instagram

“They weren’t giving me drugs like everyone thinks. No, I ran away from them and became ‘Bad Andy.'” And I ran away from them and they came after me and it was too late. I ran into a group of people, took drugs as quickly as possible, and died immediately. ”

Carbone and Bailey were filming Dick on the streets of Hollywood when Dick ran away and saw a man smoking crack cocaine and punched him.

A video of the unresponsive actor collapsing on the cement steps of a building, leaving his glasses on the ground in front of him, quickly went viral.

The comedian admitted that he “ingested drugs as quickly as possible and died quickly.”
Dick said it took four doses of Narcan before he regained consciousness, and when he did, all he could think about was drinking.

The footage showed a panicked Bailey leaning back on Dick and administering Narcan, a nasal spray used to reverse an opioid overdose.

Dick said it took four doses to regain consciousness, but once he did, his mind was focused on one thing.

“This is not funny, and I don’t remember it, but when I came back to life, I woke up and the first thing out of my mouth was, ‘Where’s the vodka?'” Dick revealed. “I don’t remember. I was still crazy… I had just come back from the dead and the Narcan had just turned up. I was losing my mind.”

Carbone, who was also on the call, said she and the responding paramedics encouraged Dick to go to the hospital. But Dick “wanted to go to a bar.”

Asked if alcohol is his real “kryptonite,” the “Andy Dick Show” star lamented, “It really is. I was talking to someone today and I was like, ‘I’d be lying if I said I’m not thinking about drinking right now, but I don’t want to drink. I don’t want to take booze out of my life forever, but maybe I should take it out of my life forever.'”

He quickly remembered his mantra for recovery: focus on “one day at a time.”

“I’d be lying if I said I’m not thinking about drinking right now, but I don’t want to. I don’t want it to be out of my life forever, but I think maybe I should get it out of my life forever,” he said. TMZ
“Thank God I went to that (rehab) place and I loved it. I met some great people,” said Dick, who now lives in a sober living facility near Beverly Hills. back grid

Despite his immediate opposition to going to rehab, Dick changed his tune just days after receiving a “full scholarship offer” to a Palm Springs treatment center from former Sober House co-star Jennifer Jimenez and her husband Tim Ryan.

“Thank God I got to go there. I loved it. I met some great people,” Dick exclaimed. Dick currently lives in a modest living facility near Beverly Hills.

Dick said sober living facilities have “the same rules” as rehab facilities, but people are “encouraged” to get out of the house and experience life.
