Despite their checkered past, ex-girlfriends Emma Roberts and Evan Peters say bygones are bygones.
“Emma and Evan are very close,” a source exclusively tells Page Six after the former couple appeared tense at a recent “American Horror Story” event to promote the star-studded season of director Ryan Murphy’s horror anthology series.
“They’re filming right now,” the source said. “There’s nothing wrong between us. That’s why we agreed to go on stage together.”
On Wednesday, Roberts, 35, and Evans, 39, joined other “AHS” alumni at the 2026 Disney Advertising Upfront showcase at the North Javits Center in New York City.
They were standing next to each other, but there was a fair amount of space between them. They looked straight ahead and didn’t seem to be talking or interacting.
Season 13 of AHS, scheduled for release on Halloween 2026, will mark the first time Roberts and Peters will share the screen together since 2018’s AHS: Apocalypse (they also co-starred in 2017’s Cult, 2014’s Freak Show and 2013’s Coven).
The two met on the set of the comedy drama Adult World in early 2012, and made their red carpet debut as a couple at the 2013 Golden Globe Awards.
However, in July of the same year, he was arrested for a domestic violence incident at a hotel in Canada.
She was soon released from jail, but the actor, who reportedly suffered a nosebleed during the altercation, did not press charges.
In a joint statement at the time, both sides blamed the “unfortunate incident” on a “misunderstanding” and insisted they were “working together to overcome this incident.”
By January 2014, the two were engaged. However, according to sources, the two “became estranged” and the project was suddenly called off in June of the following year.
Roberts and Peters eventually got back together and continued dating on and off until early 2019, ending their seven-year relationship.
“No matter who you are, no matter what you do, no matter where you are in the world, endings are hard. It’s hard to lose something,” Roberts lamented to Cosmopolitan magazine in May of the same year, adding, “No one really knows.”
The We’re the Millers star dated actor Garrett Hedlund, with whom she shares five-year-old son Rose, and is currently engaged to actor Cody John.
As for Peters, the “Monster” star moved on with singer Halsey and then dated author Natalie Engel until last year.
