Anne Hathaway kept her pregnancy a secret throughout her “The Devil Wears Prada 2” press tour, but just a few months earlier she announced she was expecting her third child with husband Adam Shulman.
The 43-year-old actress opted for less form-fitting ensembles, wearing an ankle-length black Schiaparelli skirt and matching blazer to kick off her press tour in Mexico City on March 30.
That night, Hathaway wore a baggy Stella McCartney Fall 2026 mini dress with black thigh-high boots.
In early April, other outfits on tour included a Spring 2026 Valentino haute couture gown that featured a layer of ruffles that hid any signs of a baby bump.
The ‘Princess Diaries’ star wore a loose-fitting striped top with long sleeves and a red tie tucked into brown pants.
During the April 6 interview, Hathaway wore an oversized knit sweater from Sacai’s Fall/Winter 2026 season and pants with a very baggy skirt.
At the film’s Seoul premiere, Hathaway opted for another baggy fit, this time in a deep red Balenciaga leather dress, and on the Shanghai carpet, she was seen wearing a wide, loose Susan Fang dress adorned with flowers.
At the UK premiere, Hathaway shocked in a Louis Vuitton strapless gown with a spilling column skirt.
When the “Mother Mary” star returned stateside in May, she stopped in New York City to finish up an interview.
Hathaway wore a Michael Kors Fall 2026 skirt suit with an asymmetrical sash at the hips and a Kite gold buckled kief belt. The thick material and belt buckle hid any signs of my growing belly.
However, Hathaway continued to step out throughout May for the 2026 Met Gala and 2027 Louis Vuitton Cruise red carpets.
At the Met Gala, the “Idea of You” actress wore a hand-painted Michael Kors Collection ball gown with a fanned out waist.
At the Louis Vuitton show in late May, Hathaway wore a gray dress from the fashion house’s collection.
The baggy costume was ankle-length and had calf sleeves that hid the contours of the Oscar winner’s physique.
However, a small protrusion could be seen in the photo.
A source gushed about Hathaway to People magazine on Friday: “She did a round-the-world tour for ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ while quietly pregnant. Her work ethic is incredible. She’s a superhero.”
Hathaway announced the pregnancy news in a sweet Instagram video on Friday.
In the clip, the “Interstellar” actress enters the frame wearing a flowing white dress. She looked at the camera and quickly moved her hand down from her stomach, revealing her baby bump.
Hathaway runs away from the camera smiling and clutching her stomach.
“X baby, I’m your X,” she captioned the adorable clip.
Photos obtained by Page Six the same day showed the “Odyssey” star shaking her butt while vacationing in St. Tropez on Wednesday.
Hathaway and Shulman, 45, married in 2012 and welcomed son Jonathan in 2016 and son Jack in 2019.
Hathaway’s pregnancy followed the back-to-back releases of Mother Mary and The Devil Wears Prada 2.
She also stars in “The Odyssey,” which hits theaters July 17, along with “The End of Oak Street” and “Verity.”
Hathaway spoke to Vogue about her grueling work schedule at the Met Gala. “I mean, who’s luckier than us? What I think is, when you get a little tired, you say, ‘Do you like why you’re tired?’
At that moment, Hathaway appreciates his skill even more.
