Original “Saturday Night Live” star Garrett Morris, 89, went viral after attending the Broadway show “Joe Turner’s Come and Gone,” starring his friend Taraji P. Henson.
The comic was featured on the 55-year-old actress’ Instagram carousel on Tuesday, where viewers could see what appeared to be a large bulge in his pants.
Henson and Morris posed side by side, leaning on their walkers.
“Uncle Junior brought you that change,” one person wrote, referring to Uncle Junior, the character Morris played on “The Jamie Foxx Show.”
Another social media user quipped, “That’s not how I meant to see Stan,” referring to Stan’s role in “Martin.”
The post also featured Whoopi Goldberg, Angela Bassett and Anthony Mackie, but fans were too distracted by the “Coolie High” star to comment on the other A-list stars in attendance.
The “Empire” alum eventually deleted the shot. But that didn’t stop the comedian from responding to online chatter.
“I seem to have caused quite a stir because of a recent photo in which I appear to have a baby boa constrictor between my legs,” Morris said in an Instagram video.
“Now, I don’t mind continuing to stereotype black men, but guys, I’m more than just a body. I’m also a brain,” he teased.
The actor took the opportunity to urge his followers to buy his upcoming book, “Ain’t That a Bitch.”
“That’s what I thought when I saw the picture of me and Taraji Henson,” Morris joked.
“Look, I’ve been[photographed]with Emmy winners, Oscar winners, Tony winners, but I never thought I’d be lifted by my own penis,” he added.
The funnyman then asked his fans for a serious “please.”
“I want you to vote, okay?” Morris encouraged viewers. “I was here during the civil rights movement. I actually saw Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. preach about fighting for our rights…Vote and buy my book!”
Morris was a founding cast member of “Saturday Night Live” from 1975 to 1980.
He served as the sketch comedy show’s first black cast member.
Over the decades, Morris has appeared on a string of hit TV shows, including “Married…with Children,” “Shameless,” “Psych,” and “Scandal.”
He was a regular on “The Jamie Foxx Show,” appearing in 100 episodes from 1996 to 2000.
Morris also starred in 2 Broke Girls, appearing in 138 episodes from 2011 to 2017.
