A new player has arrived in the horror movie streaming space.
Genre magazine HorrorHound today announced the launch of HorrorHound TV, a new independent streaming platform dedicated to horror. The service is set to launch on July 1st, with Orin Black’s The Babysitter Murders: Timing’s Off set to be one of the launch exclusives.
HorrorHound TV’s production team said in a statement that “The Babysitter Murders: Timing’s Off” is “the kind of film that defined the platform from its very first day.”
“The platform welcomes feature films, short films, documentaries, fan films, animated horror, experimental works, and genre-bending projects from filmmakers around the world, with a special focus on helping completed festival titles find new audiences,” they also said. “Independent filmmakers have been a cornerstone of this organization’s mission since our earliest events, and the new platform expands that commitment by providing genre films with a hub where audiences can discover genre films year-round beyond the traditional festival circuit.”
HorrorHound started as a magazine in 2005 and has grown to include conventions, film festivals, film sections, and music sections.
According to the official synopsis, “The Babysitter Murder Case: The Timing is Off” is a story about a babysitter who experiences time distortion and sees news about her own murder. Black co-wrote the screenplay with Gus Reilly, and the film also stars Elliott Francis Flynn, Giancarlo Gentile, and Jake D. Williamson. The film was screened at festivals including Horrorhound Film Festival and New Jersey Horror Con & Film Festival.
