“Good Morning America” meteorologist Ginger Zee reveals her eco-friendly wardrobe secrets.
The TV personality revealed on air that she hasn’t bought new clothes in over four years, and that she has been wearing her go-to dress for the past eight years.
“If you think data and facts about heat excites people… imagine their disdain when I highlight my anti-consumerist habit of going over four years without buying new clothes,” she captioned a collage of snapshots of herself wearing a halterneck yellow dress over the years.
“Today’s dress is old, but it’s a favorite I’ve had for at least 8 years. #nonewclothes.”
Fans in the comments section praised Zee’s resourceful wardrobe hack.
“You are a great role model for all of us!!! You look so beautiful in yellow 🙂,” one person chimed in.
“This is so inspirational!!! Thank you for sharing!!” another added.
A third wrote: “You look so great! This clothing is a reminder that if we buy quality items and take care of them, they will last and look great for years.”
Gee has long been an advocate of saving money on clothes and opposing the culture of over-consumption.
Last summer, she wore her 13-year-old dress again to commemorate the last day of filming for “GMA” at the Times Square studio.
At the time, she posted side-by-side photos of herself wearing a blue and pink color-block dress, one from June 13, 2025, and the other from her early appearance on the show in 2012.
“Started in 2012. And today. I started working here in the fall of 2011. But this summer dress has been with me forever.”
Goodbye Times Square and looking forward to new memories in Hudson Square – this dress is coming with me 😉 #nonewclothes,” she captioned the post.
