Savannah Guthrie announced she will be absent from the “Today” show for “several weeks” to film a new game show.

“I’m going to be heading out to film ‘Wordle’ over the next few weeks,” the journalist told his co-hosts on NBC’s morning news show Thursday.

“I’m really excited because we’re going to be filming the whole season. I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”

As Page Six previously reported in May, Guthrie, 54, was tapped to host the Wordle game show, which is based on the popular New York Times puzzle of the same name.

The game show is executive produced by Jimmy Fallon, who told Guthrie he was “so happy” she was chosen to host the show.

“We were looking for the right host for this. We needed someone who looked like he played Wardle, someone who knew how to run a show,” the talk show host, 51, told “Today” at the time.

“We did the pilot and you were amazing,” Fallon added.

The game show is scheduled to premiere in 2027.

Last week, Savannah took a short hiatus from “Today” to spend time with her family as the investigation into the disappearance of her mother, Nancy Guthrie, continues.

Nancy, 84, was first reported missing from her home in Tucson, Arizona, on February 1st.

During the investigation into her disappearance, authorities found bloodstains on Elder’s front porch.

That same month, the FBI released horrifying home security camera photos of an armed and masked figure outside Nancy’s door the night she disappeared.

No one has been arrested in Nancy’s kidnapping. But last month, a former FBI agent claimed agents were closing in on the man seen on Nancy’s door camera.

Savannah returned to work on “Today” in April.

Sources told Page Six that NBC staffers were explicitly instructed not to mention Nancy’s disappearance or even formally welcome the anchor back.

“It was supposed to be business as usual.[The producers]told us to act completely normal,” a source told Us at the time. “The atmosphere is ‘move on.’ It’s been a tough year and a draining time.”
