Ben Kingsley and Max Minghella are the latest A-listers to join ‘White Lotus’ Season 4.
The duo were named in a casting announcement via Instagram on Monday, along with Swedish-speaking actor Pekka Strang.
“A new company is in the works,” the social media upload said. “#TheWhiteLotus Season 4 features Ben Kingsley, Max Minghella and Pekka Strang.”
The first slide in the carousel featured a headshot of Kingsley, the 82-year-old Oscar winner known for roles in films such as “Gandhi” and “Schindler’s List.”
As for Minghella, the 40-year-old played Nick Blaine on The Handmaid’s Tale from 2017 to 2025.
Strang is a Finnish star who just appeared in Netflix’s The Last Kingdom in 2023.
The latest film in the series is currently being filmed in France.
The star-studded cast also includes stars like Max Greenfield, Heather Graham, Kumail Nanjiani, and Rosie Perez.
Notably, Helena Bonham Carter left the show nine days into production.
The 59-year-old actress is said to have had “creative differences” with creator and director Mike White.
According to Variety, the 55-year-old filmmaker asked Carter for a more “raucous performance.”
An HBO spokesperson told Page Six, “It has become clear that the character that Mike White created for Helena Bonham Carter never really clicked on set.”
“While HBO and producer Mike White are saddened to no longer be able to work with her, we remain passionate fans and very much hope to work with the legendary actress on another project soon,” the statement continued.
Carter played a fading star chasing a comeback, but has since been replaced by Laura Dern.
The Big Little Lies star, 59, will not be taking over the role of Carter, instead confirming that White will write Dern’s own role.
