Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson put their friendly co-parenting on display at son Ace’s sixth-grade graduation on Wednesday.
Photos obtained by Page Six show the ex-couple attending the 12-year-old’s quinceañera in Los Angeles with daughters Maxwell, 14, and Birdie, 7.
Simpson, 45, wore a red dress and lipstick for the event, completing her look with black heels and an updo.
She accessorized with statement silver jewelry and sunglasses.
Johnson photographed the retired NFL player looking casual in a black T-shirt and jeans, paired with sneakers and a backwards baseball cap.
At one point, the 46-year-old appeared to take a selfie with his ex-spouse.
After the ceremony, the exes and even more family celebrated Ace’s breakthrough moment with dinner at Benihana.
Notably, Simpson and Johnson confirmed their separation last year after 10 years of marriage amidst rampant divorce rumors.
The two got together in 2010, welcomed Maxwell and Drew, and walked Virgin Road in Montecito, California in July 2014. Birdie was born in March 2019.
Simpson announced in January 2025 that she and Johnson were “separating” as they were “going through difficult times in their marriage.”
At the time, the singer said, “Our children come first and we want what’s best for them. We appreciate all the love and support we’re receiving and value our privacy at this time as we work through this situation as a family.”
The following month, Simpson told People that despite their breakup, the former athlete “is still a part of[her]life and always will be.”
She is currently reportedly dating Nashville-based roadie musician Thomas Eisenhood.
Since rumors of Simpson’s new romance broke in April, Simpson and Johnson went on a family trip to Hawaii.
Ms. Simpson’s first husband, Nick Lachey, was also on the same flight in May and criticized her former “Newlyweds” co-star for sitting in first class with her mother while her estranged husband and children were in economy class.
“They were in a different service class,” the 98 Degrees member, 52, said on “Watch What Happens Live” last month.
Later the same week, Ms. Simpson defended the seating arrangement, claiming that her “mother bought that ticket.”
