CrimeCon’s Clue Awards, an awards program dedicated to true crime storytelling, is now accepting submissions for the 2026 ceremony. The ceremony will be unveiled during CrimeCon’s annual flagship event for true crime fans, creators and industry professionals, taking place in Las Vegas on Saturday, May 30th.

The Clue Awards is dedicated to celebrating excellence in true crime content and recognizes projects across television, podcasting, film and publishing. The TV category includes great episodic series, great documentaries, and great scripted series or movies added in 2025. The Podcasts category recognizes outstanding episodic series and outstanding documentaries. In addition to individual achievement honors, outstanding documentary film and crime book of the year will also be awarded. Entries can be submitted at ClueAwards.com.

Early entries for the 2026 awards will be accepted at a discounted rate until the February 15 deadline. General submissions will be accepted until March 21st, with a final submission deadline of April 1st. To be considered, projects must be released between May 31 and March 31, 2025, and available in the United States.

An independent panel of true crime content producers, executives and creators selects the Clue Awards nominees and winners. Last year’s panel included experts from Inside Crime, Campfire Studios, National Center for Victims of Crime, Law&Crime Network, CourtTV, and more.

Last year’s ceremony was hosted by Ice-T, a Grammy Award-winning hip-hop artist and award-winning actor who appeared on “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.” The 2025 winners include Netflix’s “American Murder: Gabby Petiteo,” ABC News’ “The Girl Who Looked Like Me,” MGM+’s “The Godfather of Harlem,” and the families of Liberty German and Abigail Williams, Indiana State Police lead investigator Lt. Jerry Hallman (“Criminal of the Year”) and “Crime Weekly” host Derrick. Levasseur and Stephanie Harlowe (“People’s Choice: Creator of the Year”) received the Individual Achievement Award.
