Spoiler alert: This article contains spoilers for the Season 8 finale of “Love Island USA.”
The public vote for Season 8 of Love Island USA has crowned Bryce and Trinity the winners of the reality dating series.
Bryce and Trinity were joined in the final four by Anya and Karl in second place, Melanie and Cynthia in third place, and Keida and Zach in fourth place. Bryce and Trinity received $100,000 in cash.
The pair have been close since their first coupling on the show and have remained solid over the last month. Melanie and Cynthia were also one of the first couples to be paired, after Cynthia chose Melanie over Anya, who first expressed interest in a relationship in the premiere episode. At a movie night, it is revealed that Cynthia is taking a lead on both Melanie and Sol, and their relationship becomes unstable.
Meanwhile, Keida and Zack developed a relationship early in the season after Zack chose Keida, who was introduced as one of the bombshells, over Kensi. Anya and Carl connected late in the season after Casa Amor and quickly became fan favorites.
The show’s popularity continues to grow, with host Ariana Maddix recently becoming the first Peacock show host to be nominated for an Emmy Award. The Season 8 premiere was the most-watched Peacock television debut of all time, reaching 3.7 million total viewers, according to NBCUniversal first-party data.
This season hasn’t been without controversy either, with two Islanders being expelled after a racist video of them saying the n-word resurfaced online. In Season 7, two contestants who used racial slurs were also kicked out of the villa.
Maddix will once again be hosting the Love Island Season 8 reunion on August 31st at 6pm PT/9pm ET. The series is produced by ITV America in association with Lifted Entertainment and WPP Media’s Motion Entertainment.
