‘Big Brother 28’ star Ashley Traill knows she herself got evicted for talking to the wrong people at the wrong time.
The 24-year-old bartender told Page Six exclusively that her fate was sealed when Melody Morris told the House that the De Validares coalition was planning to vote for her to remain.
“It was a huge controversy that I went to vote for Melody, Lyric and Mallory, making the case that there are two sides in this house and if you don’t vote for us, you’re on the wrong side of the vote,” she explained.
Ms Trail said she had no problem exposing both sides of the house because she considered the partnership already “suggestive.”
However, due to Trail’s missteps, Validares’ group withdrew from the plan and joined the opposing coalition in voting unanimously for Trail over Taylor-Brown in the first eviction.
“I didn’t have enough votes to stay if the only people who supported me were going to keep me,” she explained. “So I needed to get Melody, Lyric and Mallory to vote. So I tried to give them confidence.”
Additionally, Trail admitted that she was “shocked” to learn that Validares, 29, would be evicted in the event of a tie because of a promise the “Survivor” winner made to Brown.
“That’s crazy. Even if I had gotten the votes, she wouldn’t have supported me because I couldn’t have gotten her on the ballot anyway,” Trail said. “It was really crazy to find out she wasn’t even planning on letting me stay at Taylor’s anyway.”
Trail also admitted that he should have played more seriously to avoid becoming an early target.
“I feel like I was closed off in a way,” she said. “I don’t know if people took my gameplay seriously. I hadn’t played in a lot of actual matches since I lost my first match. So maybe people didn’t take me seriously as a player.”
Trail added: “On the second day, I started playing the talking game. I know people probably started talking on the first day. I wasn’t that far behind, but it was hard to catch up in the sense that no one really opened up to me.”
Despite his exit, Trail admitted he plans to watch the rest of the season and believes Validares and fellow Survivor alum Rick Devens have the best chance to win.
But Trail is “of course” rooting for Angela Murray.
“She has a flair for drama, but she also has a little game,” Trail said.
