Ben Stiller, Nicholas Galitzine and Vera MacLean will team up for “A Matter of Time.” This is a new film about an unlikely angel sent from heaven to persuade a reclusive man to sacrifice his life for the greater good.
Harry Bradbeer (Enola Holmes) will direct with producers Sony Pictures, Debra Hayward, and Larry Mark. Justin Haythe, Madeline George, Peter Byrne and Simon Beaufoy contributed to the screenplay. Michael Dreyer will serve as executive producer.
The announcement was made at Netflix’s upfront presentation on Wednesday, during which the production of “Grown Ups 3” was also announced.
According to the logline, over the course of the story, the reclusive man agrees to the angel’s proposal, only for his impending death to spark a new lease of life and a romance that threatens to change the course of history.

Director Harry Bradbeer
The project is being produced under a partnership between Sony Pictures and Netflix, meaning that any movie Sony makes for streaming will be seen first on Netflix.
In addition to the first two “Enola Holmes” films, Bradbeer has directed such Emmy-winning television series as “Fleabag,” “Killing Eve” and “Grantchester.” He is represented by UTA and United Agents.
Galatzin recently starred in “Sheep Detectives” and has “Masters of the Universe” coming up. He also appeared in Prime’s popular romantic comedy ‘The Idea of You’.
McClain is known for her role on the British series “Rivals” and her recurring role on Netflix’s “Sex Education.”
Stiller has Focker-in Law coming out later this year and recently starred in Happy Gilmore 2, as well as directed several episodes of Severance and the documentary about his parents, Stiller & Meera: Nothing Lost. Stiller, who is repped by WME, VIE, ID and Sloan Offer, will also star in Apple’s limited series “The Off Weeks,” which is currently filming.
