Andy Cohen bluntly asked West Wilson if he was taking beta blockers at the end of the “Summer House” season 10 reunion.
The moment happened when Jesse Solomon started crying about potentially “losing” Wilson as a friend because of his secret relationship with Amanda Batula.
“I didn’t expect to get so emotional about this,” said Solomon, 32. “But from what we’ve heard, it feels like we’ve lost a brother.”
Solomon told Wilson, 31. “I hope they somehow improve and prove us wrong, but it doesn’t look good.”
“Mr. Nishi, what’s your reaction to that?” Cohen, 58, asked Wilson, who ignored Solomon and said he “hated” how his co-stars felt about the state of their friendship.
“I wanted to come here today and apologize and make sure to get my words across… but the friendships here are so important to me, and it’s really disappointing to think that I’m responsible for overseeing all of this rift,” an emotionless Wilson continued.
Cohen then asked Wilson, “No offense, are you on high doses of beta blockers or something?”
The “What Happens Live” host noted that while the rest of the cast was “very emotional” about the scandal throughout the reunion, Wilson looked blank throughout.
“I’m interested in what’s going on,” Cohen added.
Wilson explained that he was “trying to stay as calm as possible” — Solomon also pointedly asked Wilson if he was taking beta blockers.
“I took a beta blocker,” Wilson admitted.
“No offense, but I’m not sobbing at this moment. This is important to me,” he added. “But this is my friend.”
Beta blockers are prescription drugs that slow the heart rate and lower blood pressure, according to the Mayo Clinic. They are often used to prevent or treat conditions such as arrhythmia, heart failure, chest pain, and migraines.
Wilson and Batula, 34, were in the spotlight at the reunion as they kept their relationship a secret from the cast, including their respective ex-girlfriends Ciara Miller and Kyle Cooke.
Miller, 30, slammed former BFF Batula as a “shithole” for dating Wilson, while Cook, 43, poked holes in Wilson and Batula’s relationship chronology by revealing when the ex-lovers officially ended their marriage.
Wilson and Batula claim they dated during The Bachelorette, but fled the country to Italy before the three-part reunion aired on May 26.
They attended Wilson’s cousin’s wedding while on vacation in Italy.
The couple were enjoying a romantic dinner at Café Wonderbar in Taormina, Sicily, when Batura was caught on video spitting into Wilson’s open mouth.
