Andrea Zapata, a veteran in the rapidly changing field of audience research and measurement, has joined Videoamp. VideoAmp is among a group of emerging measurement technology companies hoping to tap into media companies that have typically relied on Nielsen to count viewers and demonstrate advertising effectiveness.

Mr. Zapata will lead VideoAmp’s efforts with media agencies and advertisers and will report to Bryan Gorski, the company’s chief revenue officer.

“Andrea brings a powerful combination of market credibility, strategic perspective, and deep experience across data, measurement, and media,” Gosky said in a prepared statement. “She understands the pressures agencies are under, the expectations advertisers have for proof of performance, and the opportunities in front of us as the industry moves toward a more intelligent and connected future.”

Zapata joins VideoAmp as the company is committed to building deeper relationships with agencies and advertisers and growing adoption of the platform across buy-side organizations. In March, VideoAmp added first-party data from SiriusXM Media and National CineMedia to its cross-platform planning technology. VideoAmp has worked with companies such as AMC Networks, Disney, Fox, Paramount, and Snap.

Mr. Zapata most recently served as Vice President of Advertising Data, Measurement and Partnerships at T-Mobile Advertising Solutions. Previously, he served as executive vice president of advertising sales and research for Warner Bros. Discovery. He provided measurements and insights and played a role in the company’s implementation of various measurement technologies during the 2023 upfront cycle.

“Working closely with both buyers and sellers gives us a strong perspective on what the market needs next,” Zapata said in a statement. “Agencies are under increasing pressure to deliver better results in a more automated, data-driven media environment. What attracted me to VideoAmp was that the company is building for where the industry is headed, with the infrastructure, interoperability, and API-first platform foundations to help agencies operate faster, with more clarity, and with more accountability. I’m excited to help enable the next chapter for agencies and advertisers.”
