Beyoncé remained out of the public eye tonight, weeks after completing her Cowboy Carter Tour. Meanwhile, Jay-Z took a photo at the Fanatics One Football Watch Party tonight in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
The Carters’ choice to skip the LA Ceremony makes sense as they were nominated for one of the Emmies’ minor categories and lost to Saturday Night Live’s 50th Anniversary Special.
This was also the first Emmy’s ceremony Beyoncé attended.
Beyoncé’s Beyoncé Bowl won Emmy before the show for her outstanding costumes in variety, non-fiction or reality programming. It was her first Emmy victory, bringing her closer to EGOT status.
Ahead of Sunday’s show, Emmys executive producer Jesse Collins spoke to Variety about whether Beyoncé will appear at the LA event. (Collins was the executive producer of both her and Jay-Z’s nominated specials.)
