The cast of HBO Max’s “The Pitt” exchanged scrubs for evening outfits at Emmys tonight. Noah Weil (with his wife Sarah Wells), Katherine Lanasa, Patrick Ball, Supriya Ganesh, Isa Briones, Fiona Doulif, Taylor Dearden, Gellan Howell, Shabana Azees and Sean Hatsey walked the red carpet at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles.
Pitt was nominated for a total of 13 Emmy Awards in his first season. Earlier this month, Creative Arts Emmy won two awards for outstanding casting in the drama series and excellent guest actors in the drama series (Shawn Hatsey). At the Sunday night ceremony, Lanatha won Emmy for an outstanding support actress in the drama series. She and Weil shared a sweet moment to celebrate her award.
The show’s star, writer, director and executive producer Weil has won an outstanding lead actor award for his first Emmy Award-nominated drama series since nodding his role in the 1999 ER. Cast, crew and creator John Wells were reunited on all stages when Pitt was awarded an outstanding drama series at the end of the night.
Weil admitted that he was surprised to see recognition over the years. “I gave up hope that this would be something my career would be a part of,” he told people. “It’s really amazing.”
Ranatha previously spoke about her first nomination. “It’s crazy,” she told people. “You will remain on the sidelines of many of your career. You really don’t expect to be one of the candidates.
Other nominations for Pitt included two noms for outstanding writing in a drama series, two noms for outstanding directors in a drama series, outstanding sound editing in a comedy or drama series, outstanding modern makeup, outstanding sound mixing, and outstanding prosthetic makeup.
Pitt’s second season will premiere on HBO Max in January 2026.
