The red carpet dress code is “too much” for Megan Starter.
The 34-year-old comedian has arrived at the 2025 Emmys in unexpected casual outfits. A simple white hane T-shirt, Levi’s blue jeans, a black leather belt, a flat pointed toe, and a handbag with the words “Cerezage!” written on the front in bold letters.
Her fellow candidates glowed in custom gowns on the biggest night of TV and borrowed diamonds, but the starter was busy making denim democratic claims.
“I think people need to bring their jeans back to the red carpet!” Starter told various reporters with distinctive beliefs, adjusting her sophisticated black sunglasses.
When reporters questioned whether the jeans really belonged to the red carpet from the start, the starter didn’t miss the beat.
“They were in the 90s! I’m watching Cameron Diaz be with her jeans.”
The actress, who stars as Kayla in HBO Max’s “Hacking,” doubled her approach by flashing her message bag. “We need to talk about what’s important to you,” she said.
“Hacks” has been nominated for the outstanding comedy category at Tonight’s Awards.
“You are allowed to do what you want,” she added, revealing that her ensemble is just as much about independence as comfort.
She had a point about heritage of exterior legacy: Aughts in the 90s and early days saw Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake at the 2001 American Music Awards for the current iconic head-to-toe denim guest-up, Gwynes Paltrowdon Classic Levy on the red carpet, and Cameron Diaz Sports’ low back ladise lowrashion in jeans on the jeans on the low back jeans spray.
It appears the starter is betting on a revival.
It remains to be seen whether Emmy is ready for a casual revolution. But judging by the starter’s both energy and commitment to bits, she hasn’t retreated anytime soon.
